Preparation for ramadan

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.

Glory is to Allah and praise is to Him, by the multitude of His creation, by His Pleasure, by the weight of His Throne, and by the extent of His Word

We start off with praising and glorifying The Eternal whom all creatures need (As-Samad) and The One (Al Ahad). We do everything for him only and for his sake.

Ramadān is the month of the Qur'ān, the month of guidance and blessings. The Muslims gained many victories during Ramadān, due to their adherence to the Qur'ān. It is a month where the mosques are full, the voices are adorned with the recitation of the Qur'ān, and the wealth is given in the Path of Allāh (swt) in abundance.

Bukhāri and Muslim extracted on the authority of Ā'ishah that:

From the example of the Messenger (saw), we see that he would use the month of Sha'bān to prepare for Ramadān. It follows that if one wants to maximise the reward he can gain from this month, let him plant and irrigate his crops this Sha'bān. He should pray the nawāfil as much as he can, as well as concentrating in his regular Salawat. He should not let one day pass without reciting at least one page from the Book of Allāh. Let him follow the example of his Noble Prophet (saw) and fast as much as he can. This way he can harvest the fruits of his hard work in Ramadān.

Bukhāri extracted on the authority of Abu Hurayrah that the Prophet (saw) said:

So one should struggle this month to let go of sins, because sinning in Ramadān is a violation of the fast. Leave the weed, the shisha, the pornography, the foul language for the sake of Allah (swt), so your deeds in Ramadān are not lost. The freemixing and the harām relationships must be cut off now, because the later one tries to break it off the harder it will be.

So enter Ramadān with a pure heart and with consistent good deeds, so you may maximise the reward and blessings. Enjoin the Ma'rūf upon yourself and forbid the Munkar upon yourself. Struggle this month so you can gain relief and Sakīnah in the next.
